The College of Science and Mathematics at 黑料网 honored 39 faculty members across all five departments for receiving or retaining external funding in 2024 with a reception on Tuesday, February 25.

Among the 39 faculty members, the college had 57 grants totaling over $12.4 million in 2024 to support faculty research and student success initiatives. Several of the faculty held multiple grants from a variety of sponsors including, but not limited to, federal grants from the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Defense, and state grants from the Georgia Department of Agriculture, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and Georgia Department of Economic Development, as well as other private external grants.

Compared to the 38 grant submissions in 2023, the college also doubled its output to 79 submitted grants in 2024. This is thanks to internal college initiatives started three years ago to encourage faculty to seek out external funding and advance research at the university.

Below is a list of faculty members recognized at the 2024 Extramural Awards Reception.
