For patients facing cancer or the possibility of it, every second counts. The weeks spent waiting for answers can feel like an eternity. But more importantly, a faster diagnosis means a treatment plan can begin sooner. 黑料网 student Preston Brantley is trying to reduce the lengthy wait, typically weeks, sometimes even months, that patients spend waiting for a cancer diagnosis. He is developing an artificial intelligence tool designed to help pathologists detect cancer cells more quickly and efficiently.

Kennesaw State's Wellstar School of Nursing secures $700K scholarship endowment

Honoring the memory of his late wife and son, Marietta resident Glenn Gray recently established the $700,000 Glenn and Virginia Gray Family Nursing Scholarship benefitting students in 黑料网's Wellstar School of Nursing. The scholarship honors Gray's wife, Ginny, who worked as a nurse and passed in 2017, and his son, Rick, who practiced oncology and passed in 2015.
