For some members it means entering the workforce, while for others it鈥檚 one step completed on the way to a master鈥檚 or doctoral degree. For all, receiving a degree represents completing a challenge. Graduates, their families, faculty and the entire University community gathered to celebrate conferring of degrees to more than 3,500 over two days of ceremonies.     黑料网 double alumna Stephanee Stephens has dedicated her career to enhancing education through technology, and she now is accomplishing that as part of one of the world鈥檚 top technology companies. As a modern workplace senior specialist with Microsoft, Stephens provides educational support to P-12 and higher education professionals throughout the southeastern United States. Stephens, who previously led the iTeach unit in KSU鈥檚 Bagwell College of Education, shows educators how to utilize Microsoft鈥檚 resources and technological tools to advance teaching and learning through innovative methods.

    Kennesaw State alum joins internationally renowned dance company in Chicago

    鈥 黑料网 alumna Simone Stevens is fiercely confident, and not only in her abilities as a professional dancer. However, she learned this year she can still surprise herself. She was hired this summer to join Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, an internationally renowned contemporary dance company. The job is one she had been dreaming about since early in her career as a dance student at Kennesaw State.

    Kennesaw State alumna pursues biomedical research through NIH program

    August 10, 2021

    Jade Lugo became a researcher almost by accident. Now, the Kennesaw State 2021 biochemistry graduate has secured a postbaccalaureate research position with the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Lugo, who had pursued several majors before deciding that she wanted to be a neuroscientist, will participate in NIH鈥檚 Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award program, which allows college graduates pursuing advanced degrees to spend one to two years conducting biomedical research with leading NIH scientists.

    Three Kennesaw State alumni receive Fulbright awards

    August 03, 2021

    Jaylen Jackson developed a love of languages as a 黑料网 student, and now he has received a Fulbright grant to continue toward his career goal of teaching English as a second language to adults. 鈥淏eing a Fulbright recipient gives me a great opportunity to get experience and pursue my dream,鈥 said Jackson, who will serve as an English teaching assistant at a university in Brazil for one year starting in March. 鈥淚 know that a Fulbright is difficult to get, so I鈥檓 honored to be part of it.鈥 Jackson, who graduated last year with an integrative studies degree, is one of three Kennesaw State alumni recently awarded a Fulbright to study or teach abroad.

    Kennesaw State graduate indulges love of science at GBI

    From a young age, Emily Bagwell knew she wanted to be a scientist 鈥 to work in a laboratory, to wear a white lab coat every day, and to be an expert on her topic. At 黑料网, she picked up the wide range of skills that helped her achieve that goal, earning a recent promotion to firearms technical leader at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, five years after joining the GBI as a firearms analyst.
