The Global Learning Opportunities (GLO) Summer workshop at Kennesaw State, is a fun and interactive half-day workshop designed specifically for incoming first-year students who are curious about the world and excited to explore new opportunities.

This new initiative allows students to start their journey at 黑料网 with a global focus, new friends, and connections. Students walk away with a new network and tools to get started on their global journey.

During the half-day experience, students:  

  • Connect with the Office of Global Education
  • Engage with campus partners & new students
  • Discover study abroad, internships & cultural programs
  • Jumpstart your global journey鈥攔ight here at 黑料网!

GLO Summer Workshop

The Summer workshop is capped at 60 students, however we will keep a waitlist.

SUMMER WORKSHOP SPEAKER

The 2025 GLO Summer Workshop Speaker is globally recognized leadership expert, Dr. Donald A. Coleman Jr. Dr. Coleman empowers individuals to realize their ultimate potential and on August 1 he'll be helping our students do just that!

As an international coach, consultant, facilitator, and speaker, he has guided over 5,000 executives and managers across six continents, helping them accelerate their influence and ascend to their next level of authentic leadership. In his current role, Dr. Coleman partners with premier global organizations, including Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Salesforce, to deliver impactful leadership training and development solutions.

Dr. Coleman's expertise is built on a strong academic foundation, including a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University , a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Loyola University Chicago , and a Doctorate of Education in Leadership from the University of Georgia.

When not transforming leaders, he is an award-winning karaoke singer who interprets life through song and dance -- and he used to work at 黑料网!!

REGISTRATION CLOSED July 15, 2025.  The workshop is full.

Registration forms were reviewed each Thursday starting May 29. Confirmation emails were sent to students on Fridays. All communication was sent through the student's KSU email account. Students were encouraged to check it regularly.

Students selected for the workshop received final details regarding the specific location, directions, and parking on July 28th via their KSU email.

  • Yes. This workshop is only open to incoming first-year students who are starting at KSU in summer or fall of 2025. Continue to check our website and  for more information about global learning opportunities happening this fall! 
  • The workshop is free and lunch will be provided. 
  • Students could register for the workshop by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.  However, registration is now closed. Check back in May 2026 for new student opportunities for the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • If you are no longer able to make the workshop, let us know as soon as possible, so a student on the waitlist can be offered a spot. Please notify Jasmine Edwards at jasmine.edwards@kennesaw.edu .
  • No worries if you aren't (or weren't) available on August 1鈥攚e鈥檒l have plenty of opportunities for you to join us during the year ahead. Keep up with us on our website and on .  
  • Throughout the year, you'll have the chance to take part in programs, service projects, and meetups鈥攁ll designed for students who want to increase their global vibe and connect with like-minded peers! 
  • Bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning more about global engagement and meeting new friends! Students participating in the workshop will receive an email before the event with additional details.
