For Ayden Lebiecki, cultural exchange and international collaboration are more than academic interests鈥攖hey鈥檙e the foundation of his future career.

This summer, Ayden is interning with the Japan-America Society of Georgia, where he supports social media management, program planning, and member services. His role includes compiling research data for fundraising, business, cultural, and educational projects, as well as contributing to office improvement initiatives.

鈥淭his internship is helping me build valuable connections and gain experience that could give me a leg up when applying to graduate programs in Japan,鈥� Ayden said.

Ayden discovered the opportunity through personal outreach and credits KSU鈥檚 Career Center for helping him prepare. 鈥淭he resume support and career fairs offered on campus were incredibly helpful,鈥� he said.

He also found mentorship in Dr. May Gao, who played a key role in helping him secure the internship. 鈥淗er support made a real difference in my journey,鈥� Ayden said.

His advice to fellow Owls? 鈥淯tilize the resources KSU offers for career planning when they鈥檙e available. They can open doors you didn鈥檛 even know existed.鈥�

As Ayden continues to explore his interest in international relations and cultural diplomacy, this internship is providing a meaningful foundation for his future.
