CEPP coordinates all placements for foundation courses, field experiences, Yearlong Clinical I and II and MAT placements. CEPP processes all Partnership Agreements with our P-12 partners and assists the KSU faculty in the establishment of professional development schools.

Teacher Grant Program

Teacher Candidates planning to teach in a high-need field, check out the TEACH Grant Program.

  • The TEACH Grant Program provides grants to students who are completing or plans to complete course work needed to begin a career in teaching
  • Eligible students must be admitted to the Bagwell College of Education
  • Students must have Junior or Senior status or be enrolled in a graduate degree program in Education
  • Have a cumulative 3.25 GPA
  • Students should be preparing for teacher certification in a high-need field
  • Students must commit to teaching in a low-income school for a minimum of 4 years within the first 8 years of graduating or cease of enrollment
  • Failure to fullfill the teaching requirement reverts the TEACH Grants to Direct Unsubsidized Loans
  • The maximum award is $4,000.00. The annual amount is subject to change based on federal sequestration

I just wanted to share with you my personal experience with your students, Anna Starnes. Anna was wonderful young professional. She was on time each planned day of observation. She was willing to come on her own time and spend a day with us on a field trip to observe how different these days are for educators. I was impressed with her ability to listen to the students and get to know them on more personal level. She connected well with students, asked great questions , observed key details to our classroom with a curiosity to know more. She was always dressed for the profession and had a positive outlook. I offered her an opportunity. To teach a lesson review of division and she jumped at the chance to try something new. She has a great rapport with children. I am thankful that she was in our room and know that she has the heart to work with young people. 

I wish her the best in her future in Educating our future leaders.

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation States

Educator preparation providers (EPPs) seeking accreditation should have strong collaborative partnerships with school districts and individual school partners, as well as other community stakeholders, in order to pursue mutually beneficial and agreed upon goals for the preparation of education professionals. These collaborative partnerships are a shared endeavor meant to focus dually on the improvement of student learning and development and on the preparation of teachers for this goal. The partners shall work together to determine not only the values and expectations of program development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement, but also the division of responsibilities among the various partnership stakeholders.

Currently, the office of Clinical Experiences, Placements and Partnerships (CEPP) arranges field placements and builds partnerships with local schools in the following school systems: Atlanta Public Schools, Bartow County Schools, Cartersville City Schools, Cherokee County Schools, Cobb County Schools, Dekalb County Schools, Douglas County Schools, Floyd County Schools, Forsyth County Schools, Fulton County Schools, Gwinnett County Schools, Marietta City Schools, and Paulding County Schools.
