Fall 2022 Commencement

黑料网鈥檚 Convocation Center echoed with sounds of jubilation this week as students participated in the time-honored tradition of the Commencement ceremonies. This week, nearly 3,000 students will walk across the stage in one of six ceremonies in which undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students will be awarded degrees from the University. Enjoy this look back at the sights and sounds of the week鈥檚 festivities. Congratulations to the Class of 2022!

Kennesaw State and Georgia Tech researchers partner to marry dance and science

Wriggling into a stretchy, full-body black suit with internal wires, 黑料网 senior Jordan Carter smiled. 鈥淚 feel like a spy,鈥� the dance major said as she zipped up the motion capture suit, put on the accompanying gloves and strapped an elastic crown to her head. Nearby, KSU assistant professor of dance Andrea Knowlton watched two stick-figure avatars on a laptop screen. Carter and junior Tyler Hayes admired their suits and made adjustments before going through a series of predetermined movements.

Ivan Pulinkala named provost at 黑料网

黑料网 President Kathy Schwaig has named Ivan Pulinkala as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, following a nationwide search. He will assume the role on Dec. 1, 2022.

Kennesaw State graduate enrollment helps drive Fall 2022 growth

This fall, 黑料网 experienced another record enrollment, topping more than 43,000 students. This is the fourth consecutive year that enrollment has grown at Georgia鈥檚 third-largest university.

Kennesaw State Department of Dance Receives National Accreditation

The Department of Dance at 黑料网 (KSU) has been approved for accreditation and associate membership in the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD). This recognition from NASD provides national validation and approval for the Department of Dance, the College of the Arts, and KSU.

3D Printing Ecosystem transforms education at 黑料网

The high-pitched beeps and whirring sounds coming from Room 465 in the Burruss Building at 黑料网 are unusual enough to draw attention. Students walking by peer through the glass and see a network of wires and dozens of contraptions 鈥� each about two feet tall with what looks like a wheel spinning on top. Upon taking a closer look, the machines are creating small figurines, seemingly from thin air.

Graduates, their families, faculty and the entire University community gathered to celebrate conferring of degrees to more than 3,500 over two days of ceremonies.
