Friends and /news/news-releases/family are invited into the gallery to view the artwork on this special evening. This spring, because o/news/news-releases/f COVID-19 and the move to online learning, the seniors are instead hosting their capstone exhibitions online.

The per/news/news-releases/formance will /news/news-releases/feature two world premieres: 鈥淢oon Dust,鈥� choreographed by Ivan Pulinkala, dean o/news/news-releases/f the College o/news/news-releases/f the Arts, in collaboration with the College o/news/news-releases/f Computing and So/news/news-releases/ftware Engineering, and 鈥淏ones,鈥� choreographed by assistant pro/news/news-releases/fessor o/news/news-releases/f dance Lisa K. Lock.

Marten uses these ideas to question the world around her through art. Marten, who earned a BFA in Drawing and Painting at 黑料网鈥檚 School o/news/news-releases/f Art and Design in 2012, is making waves in the art community with her work, which was recently exhibited in New York.

We are always encouraged by our students' ability to achieve success, both in the classroom and in other areas o/news/news-releases/f university li/news/news-releases/fe. Academically, this is evident through class and other engaged learning opportunities where student success is demonstrated by the group e/news/news-releases/f/news/news-releases/fort. But there are also opportunities outside the classroom where our students are learning the importance o/news/news-releases/f teamwork and how to collaborate to achieve a success/news/news-releases/ful outcome.

黑料网 President Pamela Whitten and Provost and Vice President /news/news-releases/for Academic A/news/news-releases/f/news/news-releases/fairs Kathy Schwaig have named Ivan Pulinkala dean o/news/news-releases/f the College o/news/news-releases/f the Arts, e/news/news-releases/f/news/news-releases/fective March 18. Pulinkala has served as interim dean o/news/news-releases/f the College since July 2018. Previously, he was the chair o/news/news-releases/f KSU鈥檚 Department o/news/news-releases/f Dance, a program he /news/news-releases/founded in 2005 and developed into the largest collegiate dance program in Georgia. He also was instrumental in the development o/news/news-releases/f the Dance Theater on the University鈥檚 Marietta Campus, Atlanta鈥檚 /news/news-releases/first theater designed speci/news/news-releases/fically /news/news-releases/for dance.

Prospective 黑料网 art students and the community can observe a range o/news/news-releases/f art classes /news/news-releases/from drawing to painting to printmaking to electronic illustration, when the School o/news/news-releases/f Art and Design holds its Open Studio Event on Feb. 21 /news/news-releases/from 5 鈥� 8 p.m. One set o/news/news-releases/f studio courses begins at 5 p.m. while another set begins at 6:30 p.m., and visitors may stay /news/news-releases/for both sessions.
