ArtsKSU Wraps Up Academic Year with Exciting Events

The College of the Arts at 黑料网 will finish the academic year with events featuring the School of Art and Design, the Department of Dance, the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies, and the Dr. Bobbie Bailey School of Music. Interim Dean Dr. Harrison Long said, 鈥淚t鈥檚 been an incredible year at the College of the Arts, and we hope patrons will come out to see some of our last few events of the spring semester.鈥�

Summer Arts Intensives Offer High School Students a Chance to Study at ArtsKSU

黑料网鈥檚 College of the Arts is offering high school students the opportunity to learn more with the Summer Arts Intensives. Students may select from four areas: Dance, Music, Theatre, or the Visual Arts. Most programs will be offered June 3-7, except for Music, which offers a half-day program from May 29-31.

Comical Adaption of "Pride and Prejudice" to be performed at 黑料网

黑料网鈥檚 Department of Theatre and Performance Studies (TPS) will present 鈥淧ride and Prejudice鈥� in the Stillwell Theater March 28 through April 7. This performance of literature鈥檚 greatest tale of latent love has never felt so theatrical鈥攐r so full of life鈥攖han it does in this effervescent adaptation.

Spring Arts Festival Scheduled for March 23 at 黑料网

黑料网鈥檚 School of Art and Design will host the annual Spring Arts Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 23 at the Chastain Pointe Studios on the Kennesaw Campus. This free, public event offers is a great way for the whole family to celebrate the visual arts.

New York-based Harlem Quartet to perform at 黑料网

"Reefer Madness" from Kennesaw State's Department of Theatre & Performance Studies

黑料网鈥檚 Department of Theatre and Performance Studies (TPS) will present the raucous musical comedy 鈥淩eefer Madness鈥� in the Onyx Theater Feb. 13-18. Tickets are $10-$12 and are available online or by calling Patron Services at 470-578-6650. Blast from the Past Inspired by the original 1936 film of the same name, 鈥淩eefer Madness鈥� follows clean-cut kids on a downward spiral filled with evil jazz music, sex, and violence. It鈥檚 the perfect performance for patrons who want to laugh a lot and feel good when they leave the theater; it鈥檚 also still relevant as many states are still wrestling with marijuana legalization issues today

Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art Celebrates Ten Years with Exhibition

Zuckerman Museum of Art (ZMA), a unit of the School of Art and Design, is celebrating its anniversary with a special exhibition: 鈥淩eflections: Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Future, Ten Years of the Zuckerman Museum of Art.鈥� Curated by Cynthia Nourse Thompson, Associate Professor of Fine Art and Director of Curatorial Affairs at the ZMA, the free exhibition runs Jan. 25 to May 11.
